Radio Switches

The Radio Switch Adaptor lets you connect wireless switches to your communication aid, up to four metres away. It removes the need for wires, making it ideal for switch users in wheelchairs or in any other situation where tangling of wires is an issue.

The Radio Switch receiver plugs into the USB port of your computer. The receiver unit requires no battery or external power supply and draws power from the computer. Switch activation is received via radio transmission between the transmitter and the receiver.

You then connect one or two switches, with standard (3.5mm) switch inputs, into the small transmitters (illustrated). These can then be mounted wherever the switches are, and are powered by a small internal battery which lasts up to a year.

Each set of Radio Switch Adaptor has a unique code, so you can have many people using Radio Switch Adaptors in the same room without interference. They are also resistant to interference from other radio emitters such as mobile phones and computers.

No drivers are needed to use the Radio Switches with popular software such as The Grid 2, Clicker or Widgit software.

Otherwise, Switch Driver is a free download from Sensory Software that enables you to use your switches for various computer tasks. The link to the download is at the bottom of the page.

To use the Radio Switches with switch games and other programs that use keyboard keys or mouse clicks as a switch input, we include Switch Driver from Sensory Software. Switch Driver will convert switch presses into other signals, such as a keypress or a mouse click.
