Eye gaze clinics
Our free eye gaze clinic days in schools and hospitals, offer a great way to trial the power eye interaction with a number of potential users. During these days we will be able to work with 8-10 students or patients and explore a wide range of pre-AAC and AAC resources.
We will set up a classroom system with a Tobii PCEye and Ergo all-in-one PC with a selection of resources aimed at introducing eye controlled activities including:
Eye gaze sensory experiences
Eye gaming/turn taking with existing software in school (IT titles for example)
Eyetracking individuals to help ascertain undiscovered cognitive abilities
Gaze Evaluator - revealing the eye movements and response times of individual students/patients
AAC vocabularies
The clinics are based on the Tobii Learning curve. Click here to find out more:
We have had some amazing results from the eye gaze clinics. It has been incredibly rewarding to see so many children responding so well during these fun and interactive sessions, and we have had great feedback from speech and language therapists, teachers and parents.
Valerie Stewart, a speech and language therapist at Fiveways School in Yeovil, told us, “As the day went on everyone became more and more excited and teachers were lining up their pupils to be assessed, pupils we had not originally thought would benefit! We learned so much more about each pupil in such a short time, and know that for some of them eye gaze technology will be their best hope for the future.”
