FuturePad 2
The FuturePad 2 is a very rugged, portable tablet PC that makes a great communication aid.
This is the second generation of FuturePad communication aids and the device now comes with a much faster processor and more memory.
It is a Windows XP device that is light and rugged enough to be carried, or can be mounted on a desk stand or wheelchair. It has a finger-operated touch screen and a battery life of about 5 hours. A spare hot swappable battery can increase the battery life to 8 hours.
For handheld use, we supply the Futurepad 2 with rubber bumpers that provide additional protection against accidental knocks. The machine is tested to withstand 1.5m metre drop onto concrete with the bumpers fitted.

The Widget Literacy Symbol library is included with The Grid 2, while PCS, Makaton, SymbolStix and Bliss are also available.

For those who need the full power of mainstream software, The Grid 2 can be used to control standard Windows programs with the powerful on-screen keyboard and computer control features.
