Grid Player
Grid Player is a free app from Sensory Software that enables you to use grids from The Grid 2 on an iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch or the Papoo Touch communication aid.
Grid Player for iOS App is free to download from the Apple App store. Anyone who uses The Grid 2 can also edit and add new grid sets. Grid Player for the Papoo Touch is supplied with the device directly from Smartbox.
The App is dedicated to communication and doesn’t include many of the more advanced commands from The Grid 2.
For people that want to use an iPad or iPod Touch as an effective AAC device, we sell complete iPad packages.
Grid Player comes with four complete grid sets – Symbol Talker A, Symbol Talker B, Talking Photos and Text Talker Phrasebook. The symbol based grid sets are complete dynamic screen vocabularies and are available for two different levels of user.

Grid Sets
Grid Player comes with four complete grid sets: Symbol Talker A, Symbol Talker B, Talking Photos and Text Talker Phrasebook. These resources have been specially designed to work on our Grid Player devices and can be used without purchasing The Grid 2.To make changes to these grid sets, or to use other Grid 2 resources with Grid Player, you need to use The Grid 2 PC software.
We have created Grid Player optimised versions of our most popular grid sets, which you can download from Online Grids.
Currently it is not possible to use our paid-for grid sets such as IDV, CALLTalk and WordPower.
Symbols
Grid Player includes Snaps Photo Library, Widgit and SymbolStix symbols. It is not currently possible to use paid-for symbol libraries such as PCS, Bliss and Makaton.Speech
Grid Player comes with high quality Acapela speech, with both male and female voices.Features
Grid Player enables you to use resources from The Grid 2 with the AAC functions available. Advanced features like email and internet browsing only work through other Apps on the device.
