Starting Blocks has been specially designed for children who have never used a communication aid and need to build up the language and access skills necessary to do so.There are three stages: On Your Marks, Get Set and Go.
The first two stages introduce access skills and basic vocabulary cells through fun activities and games. The third stage, Go, is a complete communication vocabulary for beginners that includes action and navigation cells.
Each copy of Starting Blocks also includes the book “The Gruffalo” by Julia Donaldson, and has a number of activities using the characters from the book. The Gird Set can also be supplied with a toy box which includes toys, switches and art equipment to complete the activities.
