Tobii Communicator 4
Tobii Communicator 4 is an alternative communication software package designed to help those with communication difficulties gain a higer level of independence. It can be used on any of our Windows-based communication aids.
Tobii Communicator 4 comes in two editions: Standard and Light. If you only need computer access and/or speech synthesis features, then the Light edition is the right choice for you. However, if you would like features such as e-mail, text messaging (SMS), online chat, calendars and environmental control, the Standard edition is the better option.
Sono Primo - Designed for younger users who are using a high-tech device for the first time.
Sono Lexis - The second stage in the Tobii SonoSeries, uses symbols to build up a personal vocabulary word by word.
Sono Scribe - A text based system that includes prediction, phrase banks and smartphrasing.
Sono Key - A more advanced text based system that includes email, instant chat and Facebook.
Sono Flex - A pre-high tech AAC App for use on iOS, and Windows based devices.
LiterAACy - A symbol vocabulary that categorises words by first letter.
The various button shapes, sizes, colors and links make personalization easy, with various highlighting settings available too.
Communicator 4 also supports other standard-format communication symbols and picture libraries. We can supply Widgit symbols with Tobii Communicator 4.
Literate users will benefit from frequency-based word prediction, built in grammar functions, word conjugation and access to the Windows desktop and applications.
The built-in dictionaries help you to spell correctly, and there is also the option to build your own dictionaries with special words for research curricula, education topics or specific situations.
Tobii Communicator also includes a calendar, calculator and environmental control.

Tobii Communicator has a range of different keyboard configurations available, including qwerty, abc, and scan-optimized. Internet, Email and SMS
Email and text messages can be written in text or symbol format, from the communication page. Text messages (SMS) can be sent through the software as long as the user has a supported mobile phone. Phone calls can be made using synthetic speech but a SIM card from a GSM phone service provider and accessories for this are required.Computer Control
If you have access to Windows you are free to explore any installed application with the powerful on-screen keyboard. Any text you write can be sent to open applications and you can also send a range of different keystroke combinations to utilize keyboard shortcuts for quick and easy navigation.Tobii Communicator also includes a calendar, calculator and environmental control.
