Talara

A low cost introduction to symbol communication

talara

The Talara records your voice (or other sounds) and then plays your recording when you select a cell.  The maximum number of cells is 32 (4 rows of 8, as shown in the picture), but you can have as few a 2 cells.

The overlays can be hand drawn or printed from a computer.  They are easy to swap, and you can store messages for 4 different overlays on the Talara.

The Talara is ideal for introducing symbol communication, and can also be used in situations where a more complex device is inappropriate.
